Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Kerang Bakar Pantai Remis, an exceptional seafood restaurant nestled along the picturesque shores of Jalan Pantai Remis in Kampung Dungun, Selangor, Malaysia. This gem has quickly become a must-visit destination for seafood enthusiasts looking to indulge in a vibrant dining experience amidst nature.

As I stepped into Kerang Bakar Pantai Remis, the delightful aroma of freshly grilled seafood greeted me. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the kerang bakar (grilled clams), a dish highly praised by patrons for its juicy tenderness and the unique flavor locked in by grilling over banana leaves. Each bite transports you to the heart of coastal Malaysia, where the sea's bounty is celebrated.

The local reviews reaffirm the quality here. A devoted customer, Shakti Raj, lauded the establishment for having one of the best ikan bakar (grilled fish) and kerang bakar in town, asserting that it’s a stop you simply must make for dinner. AF Mohammad echoes this sentiment, highlighting the impressive size of the squids and stingrays, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.

While the beachfront ambiance enhances the experience, the restaurant’s challenges, such as occasional delays during peak hours, are acknowledged by visitors like Aifa Lazim. Despite this, the enchanting views, stunning sunsets, and the delightful sound of live busking music create an inviting atmosphere that makes the wait worthwhile.

The menu may not boast endless varieties, but in this case, simplicity reigns supreme. As Anas Adanan points out, the focus here is on enjoying nature while savoring grilled delights like the soft and crispy sotong goreng tepung (fried squid)—another dish that has won hearts. For those seeking a distinct culinary experience without the noise of too many options, Kerang Bakar Pantai Remis undoubtedly delivers.

Moreover, the restaurant provides ample parking and a family-friendly environment, allowing for delightful evenings spent flying kites and engaging in local activities, as shared by Aifa. This combination of flavorful dishes and beautiful nature makes Kerang Bakar Pantai Remis not just a restaurant, but an experience that delights all the senses.

For a taste of authentic Malay seafood, look no further than Kerang Bakar Pantai Remis. Whether you're a seafood lover or simply looking for a serene seaside escape, this restaurant promises a memorable dining outing. Make your way to this treasure in Selangor— your taste buds will thank you.

Visitor Testimonials (536)

Alhamdulillah, almost everything is okay for me. It’s just that sometimes the orders are slow to arrive, but I understand because there are a lot of people, and I came on the weekend. There’s only one thing I’m not satisfied with—the person cleaning the tables didn’t do a good job. The cloth looked dry and there was no soap. He just wiped it like that. My sleeve got dirty… the dirt was still stuck on the wooden table, sigh. And then there’s no surau (prayer room), had to walk far to the food court—not great. Luckily, the busking was good, the guy had a nice voice and the songs were great too, hehe. Besides that, parking was easy. And the best part was bringing the kids to fly kites at night—they loved it. In the evening we went to see snakes and even got to hold one, and the fee was pay-as-you-wish to the owner…

One of the best ikan bakar and kerang bakar in selangor town....a must go for dinner

Nice windy place. Beautiful sunset during the evening. However less variety of cooking offered. Only grilled fish. Masak gulai, 3 rasa cannot. Come here to feel the nature not the eating i would say haha

+ One of the best seafood restaurants available in Kuala Selangor + Big fresh squids, stingray & bamboo clams cooked to perfection in banana leaf (soft & juicy) + Price is still reasonable compared to the popular one in Pantai Jeram - As usual, takes quite long (~ 1 hr) to get the cooked food

Not sure about the kerang bakar, but I love the sotong/ udang goreng tepung. It feels so crunchy like you're eating snack and the sotong also very soft. The ikan bakar also taste soo good with their own home made sauce. Maybe I'm just lucky coz not so many customers were around during my visit around 6 PM. The view also nice as u can feel the wind from the beach

Seafood was fresh and prices are very affordable, staff was friendly and service was very prompt. Highly recommend the lala tumis.
